The Peoples’ Friendship University Named after Academician Ә.Қуатбеков Celebrated Kazakhstan’s Languages Day

The institution, founded in 1999, is holding celebrations for its 25th anniversary. At the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician Ә.Қуатбеков, a ceremony entitled “Learn Other Languages, Respect Your Own” marked the Day of the Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. President of the university named after Academician Ә.Қуатбеков, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Н.Ә.Қуатбеков, congratulated everyone on the official opening and wished the organisers success. At the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Ә.Қуатбеков, which prioritises interethnic harmony, students from more than 25 ethnic groups study together. The original purpose of founding the university named after Academician Ә.Қуатбеков was — to strengthen friendship among Kazakhstan’s diverse communities. Official figures indicate that the country is home to more than 130 ethnic groups. All citizens contribute to peaceful and harmonious life in Kazakhstan. The university promotes Kazakh among the diverse communities of our independent country and fosters respect for the state language.
