Placement Orientation Conference for Year 4 Students in Teacher Education Programmes

In 2024, on 6 September at 12:00, the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician Ә. Қуатбеков held a conference on organising professional placements for year 4 students in teacher education programmes. Deans, faculty members and year 4 students attended.

The conference was opened by the Head of the Employment and Internship Department at the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician Ә. Қуатбеков, Айсұлу Шалкеева Анварқызы, who emphasised the importance of professional teaching practice for students. She listed the documents graduating students would need and wished them success. During the meeting, Dean of the Humanities Education Faculty at the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician Ә. Қуатбеков, Айгүл Купешова Қуанышқызы, expressed confidence that students would gain extensive knowledge from their placements and become capable specialists. Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs at the university named after Academician Ә. Қуатбеков, Бердіқұл Садықов Қадырқұлұлы, also congratulated the final-year students on the start of practice.

University lecturers encouraged their future teaching colleagues to be as active as possible during practice. They explained the importance of using varied methods and technologies, video lessons, interactive games, and other engaging and useful approaches when preparing lessons.

Deputy Head of the Employment and Internship Department at the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician Ә. Қуатбеков, Марат Майлыбаев Серікбайұлы, also said that graduates should make extensive use in professional settings of the theoretical knowledge gained over 4 years. In conclusion, he encouraged his future colleagues to complete their placement tasks clearly and thoroughly.
