Republic Day Was Celebrated at the Peoples’ Friendship University Named after Academician А. Куатбекова
On 23 October 2024, the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician А. Куатбекова held a ceremony for Republic Day, the national holiday celebrated annually on 25 October.
Leaders and students of the History and Law Department and staff of the university’s Educational Affairs Department actively helped organise and deliver the celebration.
University President, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Нурлан Абдимусаевич Куатбеков, addressed the participants, saying:
“Because Kazakhstan became an independent and sovereign state, we now live peacefully under one shanyrak. We believe the spirit of our ancestors will protect our country from upheavals and disasters such as those occurring elsewhere. May Kazakhstan’s skies always be peaceful, and may our young people be educated, talented and capable of taking the country to new heights.”
The professor warmly congratulated faculty, students and honoured guests on Republic Day.
The event also featured Chief Specialist of the Shymkent Department of Kazakhstan’s Agency for Civil Service Affairs — Ж. Алжанова, who explained changes in the civil service and encouraged students to pursue careers in the field.
Several university employees received letters of appreciation from the Rector. The celebration continued with a concert featuring talented students.
