Seminar on preventing offences among young people and adolescents

On April 21, 2026, Academician А. Куатбекова Peoples’ Friendship University held an important seminar on “Preventing Offences among Young People and Adolescents” for students on the 6В04210 Law programme.
The event’s main aim was to prevent offences among the younger generation, improve legal literacy and build a culture of responsibility in society.
Invited guests included К.А. Анарбаев, a judge at Shymkent’s specialised investigative court; lawyer А.С. Ибатов; representatives of the Б. Момышулы Training Centre of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, М.С. Мекенбай and А.Т. Маймаков; and Department of the Penitentiary System staff К.М. Куралбаева and Г.Т. Хайрулла.
The speakers shared professional experience and used concrete examples to explain liability for offences. Judge К.А. Анарбаев discussed the causes and consequences of juvenile crime in detail and outlined effective prevention measures. Particular attention was paid to online safety.
Students actively joined the discussion, asked questions and exchanged views.
Such events help develop young people’s legal awareness, respect for the law and a safe social environment.
