“REGIONAL STARTUP PROJECT COMPETITION TO DEVELOP YOUNG PEOPLE’S INNOVATIVE POTENTIAL”

In line with the Young Scientists Council’s plan at Academician Ә. Қуатбеков Peoples’ Friendship University for 2025, and to encourage young people to engage in research and innovation, in 2025 on November 25 an educational and scientific event was held on “Organising a Regional STARTUP (Startup) Project Competition for Students”.

The chair and members of the Young Scientists Council, along with university students, actively took part in the well-organised event. Contestants defended their projects professionally and substantively, presenting innovative ideas.

During the event, the chair of the Young Scientists Council Ж.К. Максумова delivered a welcoming address, stressing the importance of developing young people’s research potential and providing support and encouragement.

The event’s main aim was to promote innovation and research among undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students, develop a startup culture and identify projects and fresh ideas with strong commercial potential.

Among participants who stood out for their research and innovative thinking was a member of group OJB6138-22 the student Kaiyrbek Nurdaulet who presented his research project “AI Design Assistant”. The project explored effective uses of artificial intelligence in design in response to modern needs and stood out for its new solutions.

In addition, from group OJB6138-22 the student Mazhit Sauir defended his research project “SMART Walker”. Presented as an innovative and socially significant device for children with disabilities, it was positively received by the participants.

The event offered valuable opportunities to strengthen the research potential of young scientists and students, develop innovative thinking and put socially useful ideas into practice through startup projects.
