Today, April 21, Academician Ә.Қуатбеков Peoples’ Friendship University held an important seminar to strengthen cooperation between the university and employers
The event focused on updating working curricula and degree programmes in 6В07110 Electrical Power Engineering and 6В62110 Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications.
University leaders, teaching staff, industry representatives and employers attended. Specialists from Ontustik Zharyk Transit LLP and Freedom Telecom Operations LLP proposed improvements to educational content. The head of the department opened by emphasising the importance of stronger links between education and industry.
The meeting examined alignment of programmes with modern industry requirements, proposed curriculum amendments and additions, development of students’ practical skills and greater professional experience. Employers also identified key graduate requirements and competencies.
A presentation introduced participants to the teaching laboratories, and they positively assessed the work in Electrical Power Engineering and Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications.
The parties agreed to continue working together to incorporate employers’ proposals into programme improvements, develop dual education, strengthen industrial placements and support graduate employment. They also planned to expand cooperation in education, scientific and technical work, and innovation.
The meeting laid the foundation for aligning education with industry needs, training competitive specialists and building a long-term partnership between the university and employers. At the end, employers received letters of appreciation.
