Republican Universiade 2025: Peoples’ Friendship University takes 1st place
From 11 to 14 May 2025 in the city of Turkestan there were competitions in table tennis at the XIII Summer Universiade with support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The aim of the competition—was to promote a healthy way of life among the country’s students, develop grassroots sport, improve sporting skills and strengthen friendly relations between universities across the country.
The united team in table tennis of Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekov achieved in this competition very strong results and finished in position 1 overall in the team standings.
The competition brought together the strongest athletes from 24 universities across the country.

And in the final match: Academy of Sports and Tourism – Dostyk (Astana) – 3:0. This victory—is clear evidence of the sporting enthusiasm and systematic preparatory work at our university, as well as the professionalism and sense of responsibility of the students.
