Republican Universiade – 2025: Peoples’ Friendship University takes 1st place
In 2025, on May 11-14, Turkestan hosted a table tennis competition as part of the XIII Summer Universiade, supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The competition aimed to promote healthy lifestyles among students, develop grassroots sport, improve sporting skills and strengthen friendships between the country’s universities.
The Dostyk table tennis team of Academician Ә. Қуатбеков Peoples’ Friendship University achieved an outstanding result, taking 1st place in the team standings. Leading athletes from 24 universities across the country took part.

In the final:
DOSTYK – Academy of Sports and Tourism (Astana) – victory with a score of 3:0.
This victory reflects the sporting enthusiasm and systematic preparation at our university, as well as the students’ professional skills and sense of responsibility.
