Meeting with employers and alumni association members
On 26.05.2025 The Economics Department of Ә.Қуатбеков Peoples’ Friendship University held a round table on training qualified specialists who meet modern requirements by aligning university degree programmes with labour market needs.
The purpose of the meeting to train highly qualified specialists in line with labour market requirements, taking employers’ proposals into account; to amend, improve and review programme content; and to develop degree programmes jointly with employers.
Participants included our university’s rector, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor — Қуатбекова Рабиға Әбдумусақызы, Жумжаев Галым Куралбекович— the head of the Turkestan Regional Branch of the State Commission for Variety Testing of Agricultural Crops under Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture;
Мақұлбаев Әбдібақыт Тілләбайұлы- the director of the Shymkent Agro-Industrial Complex Inspectorate of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture;
Таласов Муслим Жаппаевич— the director of Eco-Pharm LLP and the head of the Graduate Employment and Work Placement Department А.А.Шалкеева, vice-rectors, deans, heads of departments, lecturers and students.
The round table examined in detail the training of competitive university graduates, their subsequent employment, improvements in education quality and the development of graduates’ professional attributes, as well as stronger partnerships between the university and employers. The meeting also explored innovative technologies and methods for using artificial intelligence (AI). Today, AI can improve efficiency across many sectors, automate processes and shorten decision-making times.
The participants considered the effectiveness of introducing elements of dual education and social policies supporting young professionals. They raised current questions, discussed pressing issues and identified ways to strengthen and renew workforce capacity.
