25 GRADUATING CLASSES – A PATH TO KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND INTELLECT
On June 26, 2025, the Turkestan Palace, one of Shymkent’s largest cultural centres, hosted a distinguished graduation ceremony for Academician А. Куатбекова Peoples’ Friendship University, entitled “25 GRADUATING CLASSES – A PATH TO KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND INTELLECT”.
Opening the event, I wished the graduates a bright path, success, achievements and career growth in their future professional lives, highlighting the importance of education in becoming a highly qualified specialist.
This celebratory evening, dedicated to the university’s quarter-century anniversary, became a memorable milestone in the institution’s history. Over a quarter of a century, more than 70 thousand graduates have received a worthy education and upbringing here, gaining a start in life. The event symbolised the passing on of deep, lasting knowledge and the cooperation and connection between teacher and student.
The anniversary celebration brought together representatives of city and regional departments, maslikhats and government bodies; education leaders, including university heads; members of the intellectual community and media; distinguished guests; and graduates and their parents.
This year, 4633 university graduates completed their studies in various specialities and embarked on adult life. They are — qualified specialists, future leaders across professions and our country’s bright future. We wish every graduate outstanding achievements and great success!
The university currently offers 50 degree programmes, including:
️ 34 bachelor’s programmes
13 master’s programmes
3 doctoral programmes.
The ceremony featured a concert programme. Popular national performers — pop singer Yernar Aidar, singer-songwriter Абзал Молдабеков, Gentelmen, Astana Kargabay and other renowned artists — gave the audience a festive atmosphere and vivid emotions.
The university’s 7 modern academic buildings, new IT centre and digital platforms provide students with every opportunity for a high-quality education. The university has also opened the Next Step incubation centre, a platform supporting young entrepreneurs.
This year’s graduates, their parents, teachers and guests were deeply moved and expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation.
We wholeheartedly congratulate all graduates! We wish you success and achievements on the path to a bright future!
