University holds seminar to improve students’ digital literacy

Academician А. Куатбекова Peoples’ Friendship University held a seminar aimed at improving students’ digital literacy. It was organised by employees of the Shymkent branch of Government for Citizens State Corporation, a non-profit joint-stock company.
The main aim was to explain opportunities for accessing public services electronically and develop practical skills in using the eGov.kz portal and mobile applications.
Specialists explained the e-government portal’s main functions, how to use it effectively and the procedures for accessing various public services online, from obtaining certificates to submitting applications.
The practical part enabled students to work independently with eGov.kz, try obtaining services and consolidate their learning through practice.
Participants asked questions and received expert answers. Such meetings develop young people’s digital skills and encourage interest in using modern technology in everyday life.
The seminar was an important step towards building a digital culture among students and expanding their ability to obtain public services conveniently online.
